Understanding Permeability in Products and Systems

This course will review an in-depth breakdown of permeability standards for both products and systems. The attendees will learn more about the multiple building products and how they perform in permeability standards. Discussion points to include the changes of the current energy codes and the requirements for the use of permeable and nonpermeable products. The participant will be able to better evaluate their current building assemblies and understand the requirements that are dictated by current codes.

- Participants will be able to better understand the differences between Permeable and Nonpermeable materials
- The participants will review the differences between the 4 categories of permeable products and how they are rated.
- The participants will better understand the different testing methods used in rating different materials and assemblies.
- The participants will discuss how vapor drive works and proper specification of building materials in different climates.
Lee Bybee is currently the National Architectural Sales Manager for Ox Engineered Products. Lee has over 20 years of experience in architecture, construction, and product sales. Lee graduated at the top of his class at Texas Tech University. His interests in both architecture and business were achieved with a Masters in Architecture and a Masters in Business Administration. Lee was able to learn and develop his interests in both fields during this time there and excelled in both.
Currently, Lee heads up a team of architectural reps that cover the United States. Lee and his team present to hundreds of architects and represent millions of dollars in successful projects.
