We are quickly approaching the very scary month of October filled with ghosts and goblins. We kicked off the fiscal year in September with the Member Extravaganza at the Addison Convention Center. The meeting allowed members and visitors to network with committee chairs allowing them to better understand our events and committee positions.
What a night it was with 16 new members and an excited membership looking to be plugged into several committees. We finished the month with the Charlie Joyner Golf Classic held on September 20, 2019, at Indian Creek Golf Club in Carrolton, TX.
To kick of the month of October, there are several dates you won’t want to miss. On October 2, 2019 we will host an Immersion Event the ACU in Addison, TX. This deep dive will cover Air Barriers. This event will be followed by our Technical Lunch at Dave & Buster’s in Dallas on October 3, 2019. The program will be Sustainable + Contemporary Commercial Restroom Materials presented by Mike Clark with Southwest Architectural Sales. In addition to these events, if you are interested in furthering your CSI Education, the CDT Exam window is October 14 – November 22.
Our regular Chapter Meeting will be October 10, 2019 where the Chapter’s President Elect, Austin Moss, will be leading the meeting. The presentation that evening will be The Integrated Building Envelope presented by David Leslie, RWC with Polyguard. To finish out the busy month, on October 9-11, several of the Chapter’s Board and Members will be attending CONSTRUCT in National Harbor, MD.
The month of October is action packed with events and activities. It is full of different opportunities to continue connecting and getting plugged in as a member. We are looking forward to collaborating with you during each of these events.
As always, current and future information will be on our website DallasCSI.Org as it is available.
